Essentially, ISO/TS 16949 is based on the process-oriented ISO 9001. However, the chronological sequence for the certification of a site is precisely mandated by the IATF. For example, Stage 1 of the audit process, the system analysis, must be performed within a specific time frame. The same applies to Stage 2, the closing report and deviation management.
